Rarely does a wrestler get to finish their career with a happy, story book ending. There are exceptions to this of course like:
- Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker.
- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs.The Rock.
A lot of the time wrestlers are being pushed out and they get lackluster send offs when it comes to their final match.
There is also the fact that a lot of wrestlers end their career due to injuries so they get very lackluster finales, if at all. We have 8 fan favorite wrestler’s final matches here that all served up something exciting!
1. Roddy Piper had an outstanding wrestling career which saw him in thousands of matches, and one of the biggest wrestling feuds ever with Hulk Hogan. For such an illustrious career, his final match was in the ring at Juggalo Championship Wrestling. For Piper’s final match he teamed up with his old body guard Bob Orton to take on Terry Funk and Mick Foley. All the men wore shirts to cover their aging physiques and wrestled in front of fans covered in clown makeup.
2. Andre The Giant is an icon of wrestling, by near the end of his career he was clearly running on fumes. He went on for as long as he could, no matter what that looked like. At his last WWF match it was a Superstars of Wrestling taping teaming up with Haku against Demolition. The match took place in Japan and, 13 months later he passed away at the age of 46.
